Job Summary

The Logistics & Customer Excellence Manager contributes to and supports the development of Orffa globally with efficient, creative and innovative logistic processes and is accountable for the optimization and constant improvement of import and export, logistics administration and is responsible for all Logistics Service Providers. The Logistics and Customer Excellence Manager needs to maintain a close interaction with all internal stakeholders such as Sales, Finance, Procurement and Quality/Regulatory. This role reports to the Global Head of Supply Chain & Operations and is responsible for the Import & Export Logistics team consisting of in total 7 FTE.

General Functions

  • Accountable for the Import & Export teams
  • Driving continuous improvement in all activities, ensuring operational excellence
  • Geographic fine-tuning of inbound and outbound logistics as well as cost optimization
  • Initiate and implement process improvements and new logistic concepts
  • Safeguard and improve logistic service in terms of people, quality, costs, communication and automation in a constantly evolving environment
  • Continuous focus on end 2 end supply chain costs
  • Pro-actively Identify (recurring) problems, formulate and initiate solutions and improvement proposals
  • Pro-actively inform stakeholders on status of outbound (customer) deliveries and inbound shipments
  • Establishing and developing relations with senior management, internal stakeholders and external partners such as but not limited to logistic service providers
  • Adhere to company, federal, state, and local business requirements, enforcing (regulatory) compliance and taking action when necessary
  • The Logistics & Customer Excellence Manager is also responsible for the Insurances on Orffa’s products

Education / Experience Requirements

 

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent by experience

Professional experience

  • At least 5-7 years of relevant experience in Logistics
  • Excellent organizational and leadership ability
  • Excellent knowledge of international freight & shipping (non-negotiable)
  • Commercially experience desirable
  • Experience in the Regulatory & Product Registration Requirements desirable
  • Problem-solving, hands-on and pro-active attitude
  • Analytical mindset with outstanding communication skills

Languages

  • Fluent in Dutch and English
