Job Summary
The HR Advisor supports the complete employee life cycle from recruitment and onboarding through to offboarding. In this position, you are responsible for the execution of all HR activities and responsibilities, including but not limited to recruitment, onboarding, HR administration, compensation & benefits, training and learning & development, and in particular for the Dutch and Belgium workforce and in time the EMEA Business Unit as HR Business Partner. Moreover, you create, update and apply HR policies and company guidelines and make sure they are compliant with local standards and regulations. The HR Advisor reports directly to the Global Head of HR.
General Functions
- Ensure a smooth employee experience process, from recruitment and onboarding to offboarding
- Assist with the design, development and implementation of HR initiatives and projects within the organization
- Support the (international) payrolling of Orffa employees
- Support (international) annual HR processes in line with the business and global HR strategy
- Support people managers and employees to understand, apply and comply to local regulations and HR policies and procedures
- Challenge the organizational design of Orffa based on internal / external benchmarking and networking to ensure efficiency
- Drive an ongoing process of innovation by identifying and fulfilling opportunities for the improvement of HR processes
- Standardize HR systems and ways of working to ensure an efficient and effective process
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR administration
- Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and retention of the people
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external relations such as – but not limited to - payroll providers, recruitment partners and legal advisors

Education / Experience Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree or similar gained from experience in Human Resources
Professional experience
- At least 3 - 5 years’ experience in general HR
- Up to date on Dutch employment legislation. Experience with Belgian employment legislation is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain good relationships with internal and external partners
- Strong organizational skills and multitasking capability
- Proactive and decisive attitude
- Good listening skills
- Professional maturity with high sense for ethics, and able to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
- Experience with cultural diversity and comfortable to deal with people remotely
- Knowledge of (international) labor law and HR best practices
- Proficient in MS Office, experience with Success Factors is a plus
- Ambition to grow to a HR Business Partner
- Enjoy working independently on various HR projects (like great place to work, or the Succes Factors roll-out for example)
Languages
- Fluent in Dutch and English
- Any other language is a plus
