Job Summary

This role plays a pivotal part in driving the company’s innovation and market presence by bridging scientific insights with commercial strategy. The Global Technical Manager is responsible for technical support, training and promotion of its designated products. The Global Technical Manager develops technical data and translates it into understandable commercial formats. Through marketing, training and technical support, the Global Technical Manager is responsible for increasing the sales potential of the designated products. The Global Technical Manager reports to the Global Solution Director and closely collaborates with Global Solutions Managers, Regional Technical Managers, Marketing and Communication Manager, Regional Managers and accounts managers worldwide.

General Functions

 

Technical and Scientific Expertise

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive technical product dossiers.
  • Plan, execute, and evaluate scientific trials, ensuring actionable insights.
  • Coordinate customer field trials to optimize product performance.

Customer Engagement

  • Act as a trusted technical advisor to address customer inquiries and build strong relationships.

Marketing and Communication

  • Translate complex technical data into accessible content for sales and marketing.
  • Develop sales tools, manage social media input, and write articles for varied audiences.
  • Deliver engaging presentations at webinars, seminars, and industry events.

Training and Development

  • Train new and existing team members, both in-person and through e-learning platforms.
  • Build technical capabilities within regional and global teams.

Innovation and Market Development

  • Analyse market trends to identify growth opportunities and inform product development.
  • Collaborate with the Innovation Manager to bring new applications to market.

Education / Experience Requirements

 

Education

  • Master degree or PhD in Animal Sciences or related studies

Professional experience

  • Proven expertise in animal nutrition and metabolism, with a focus on practical application and innovation.
  • Comprehensive understanding of animal trials, including protocol design, interpretation of trial reports, and application of statistical methods.
  • Skilled in literature research, synthesizing scientific findings, and applying them to product development and strategy.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with experience engaging scientific, technical, and commercial audiences
  • Experience in designing and delivering effective training programs tailored to diverse audiences
  • Proven ability to translate technical insights into commercially viable marketing materials, coupled with deep understanding of global feed industry trends, customer needs, and regulatory frameworks.
  • A keen learner and observant professional with a strong willingness to collaborate effectively with global colleagues, fostering cross-cultural understanding and teamwork.

Languages

  • Fluent in English
  • Dutch or other languages (French, Spanish) are preferred but not necessary
